The Project
Born from ideas proposed during ‘River Forum’ community meetings held by the River Colne Project, the River Colne Sculpture Trail project has since moved forward under its own steam. We are working to develop a sculpture trail in the Colne Valley, which aims to reflect the valley’s environmental diversity and its transformation from the industrial to the digital age. |
Funding from the Arts Council enabled the appointment of a Project Officer for 2½ years and we have been running a number of commissions, all with creative opportunities for local people and community involvement at all stages of the artistic process.
We hope the sculpture trail
will be an exciting addition to the local environment and will provide enjoyment
for local residents and visitors for years to come. If you would like any
further information or to get involved with this project in any way
– as an artist, local business/organisation, or member of the local community –
please
